Gay Marriage

On Tuesday (03/26/13), the case to legalize same sex marriage was sent to the Supreme Court. An uproar about California's Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage, was a setback to the attempt for gays to earn their rights to marry legally. This topic has also been a heated debate in the Catholic Church for many years. The Catholic Church has always been against the gay rights movement. This is because marriage is a covenant established by God and mankind, and ultimately meant to be between man and woman. God created woman to be a companion to man and this is the summary of the covenant of marriage.
